This historic cabin was built by the Great Northern Railroad and used as a retreat and place to hold board meetings. They created a man-made pond nearby for swimming and getting out of the hot summer days after holding their board meetings. (The plans are to restore the pond in the future.)
The cabin is located just a short walk away from the banks of the Fisher River, with a nicely maintained trail down to the river. Nearby is a natural salt lick that deer come to use during the springtime.
This cabin is scheduled for complete renovation starting late 2011. (We are working on remodeling the barn for storage, so that we can start work on this cabin.) We look forward to making it available for rental soon after that.
